Measuring conflict deaths in support to Agenda 2030

The Inter-agency and Expert Group on Sustainable Development Goal Indicators (IAEG-SDGs) has endorsed indicator 16.1.2 on 'conflict-related deaths per 100,000 population'.
The objective of this event is to discuss the strengths and challenges of developing an indicator on conflict-related deaths to monitor peaceful and inclusive societies.
The Small Arms Survey has carried out a review of existing practices in monitoring conflict-related casualties with the aim of contributing to the current work of the IAEG-SDGs in the finalization of a methodology for this indicator. Key findings will be presented during the event.
