Global Burden of Armed Violence 2015 slideshow

A five-minute presentation on the key findings of the Global Burden of Armed Violence 2015: Every Body Counts, narrated by Small Arms Survey Research Director Anna Alvazzi del Frate. The report shows shows an average of 508,000 people died violently each year between 2007 and 2012, down from 526,000 in 2004-2009, but there more conflict-related violent deaths (70,000, up from 55,000). An integrated approach to measuring violent deaths is important to the implementation of the post-2015 development framework, notably the proposed SDG Goal 16.
