Launch of the Report 'Weapons Compass: Proliferation and Control of Arms and Ammunition in Wartime Ukraine'

Weapons Compass: Proliferation and Control of Arms and Ammunition in Wartime Ukraine analyses small arms proliferation and control efforts in Ukraine since the Russian full-scale invasion in February 2022. Using a mixed-methods approach, a team of Ukrainian and international researchers collected and analysed data from multiple sources to triangulate the findings. The Report also outlines policy observations for the Ukrainian government and its partners, from immediate priorities during wartime to medium-term supportive efforts and long-term structural reforms.

The event will feature presentations by the report’s authors, followed by a discussion with Ukrainian practitioners on the policy implications of the key findings.

«Компас зброї: розповсюдження та контроль над зброєю та боєприпасами у воєнний час у Україні» аналізує зусилля щодо розповсюдження та контролю над стрілецькою зброєю в Україні з моменту повномасштабного вторгнення Росії у лютому 2022 року. Використовуючи комплексний методологічний підхід, команда українських та міжнародних дослідників зібрала та проаналізувала різні джерела даних для триангуляції висновків. У звіті також викладено політичний огляд для українського уряду та його партнерів, від негайних пріоритетів під час війни до середньострокових підтримуючих зусиль та довгострокових структурних реформ.

На заході буде презентовано напрацювання авторів звіту з подальшим обговоренням з українськими практиками ключових висновків щодо політики з питань обігу зброї.
