Aline Shaban

Associate Researcher

Aline Shaban is a research associate at the Small Arms Survey with a background in transnational organized crime, criminology and human rights. She works on the prevention of illicit proliferation, with a focus on civilian firearms registries, craft production, and arms trafficking in Ukraine.

Prior to joining the Survey, she worked on a Weapons and Ammunition Management (WAM) project and human trafficking issues.

Aline holds an MA in International Relations and Political Science from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva (IHEID) and a BA in International Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.
