
Yulia Yarina
Yulia joined the Small Arms Survey in May 2023 as a Project Assistant. At the Survey she is mainly engaged in research on small arms proliferation in the Caribbean and Ukraine as well as on global firearms holdings.
Yulia is a development practitioner with a background in human rights, development, armed conflicts, and trade. She has experience in research on human rights, trade, and armed conflicts, mainly employing qualitative methodologies such as surveys and interviews as well as legal analysis. Yulia previously worked at the Geneva UN office of Amnesty International, the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Division of DCAF, the WTO, as well as the University of Geneva. She holds a Master's degree in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of Geneva and a diploma in law from Humboldt University with a focus on international and trade law.
